About Us
My name is Daniel Cretcher and I am the owner of Cretcher Woodshop. Having had a lifetime passion for all things wood, building, and architecture related, Cretcher Woodshop was born, of all places, at a desk in a florescent lit corporate office. While woodworking was my hobby at the time, I spent my weekdays working as a Business Analyst for a large Telecom company, spending my down time between meetings furiously sketching out my next projects. Eventually, realizing what my heart wanted, I left that job, took a pay cut, and went to work in a local cabinet shop where I honed my craft and grew as a woodworker.
In 2016 I started Cretcher Woodshop as a part time endeavor, working out of a small basement shop space in the German Village area, primarily building furniture.

In the Summer of 2018 my wife and I moved out of Columbus to the Village of Hartford (Also known as Croton), which lies just to the Northeast of the city. Here I was able to set up in a larger shop space and focus on Cretcher Woodshop full time, expanding my focus to include not only furniture, but also built-ins, trim work, & more.

As a small, owner operated, shop we specialize in small to medium sized jobs in both the residential and commercial space. Knowing full well the headache and hassle that often comes from dealing with contractors and builders, whether it's the mess left in your home, the inability to get a phone call returned, or projects left half finished for months on end, it is our goal to make the process as smooth and easy as possible, keeping you informed and in the loop while treating you, your home, and your time, with the utmost respect.
