F.A.Q.

Q. I have an idea for a project. What is the process for getting a quote?

A. The first thing to do is send us an email, or use the form on our contact page, to tell us a little bit about the project you have in mind. You can be as detailed as you wish, but the idea is just to give me a general sense of the project, which allows me to know what questions to ask next. This is also a great great time to send me any pictures you have saved for inspiration. This helps me get to know your style and see what you see.

I will contact you back and ask some further questions regarding the scope of your project and provide you with a rough quote. This will usually be a range that accounts for different levels of building materials, with a low end and high end. The idea of this is just to make sure we are both in the same ballpark regarding the projects cost.

If both parties agree to the rough quote, we will further discuss the details of the project such as materials used, finishes, trim, & hardware. Some projects, such as built ins, may require an in person visit to your home to take proper measurements. Once we determine these details, I will be able to provide you with a detailed, final quote for your project.

* Smaller/simple projects may need less discussion and can be handled less formally.

Q. What happens after I agree to the quote?

A. For smaller projects, we will agree to a timeframe for the projects completion and payment will be made in full at this time.

For larger projects, once all parties are in agreement, we will sign a contract that will include target dates for the projects completion, payment schedule, and details & expectations of the project. A 50% payment is due at signing, with the remaining payments detailed in the contract.

At this point, I will create a detailed computer rendering of your project. This will allow all of us to visualize it and make sure everything looks good before proceeding with the actual build.

Q. What determines if a project is small or large?

A. To keep it simple. small will be anything quoted at less than $1500 and large will be any project quoted over $1500.

Q. Where the heck is Croton, Ohio?

A. Croton, also known as Hartford, is just Northeast of Columbus, OH between Johnstown & Centerburg.

Q. What is your service area?

A. We generally serve Franklin, Licking, Delaware, & Knox counties. However, exceptions can be made for certain projects, so if you are outside of these areas, feel free to still ask.
